So, new year’s approaching and like what I did previous year, and the year before, and pretty much almost every year, I will come up with a bunch of new year resolutions, which I will entirely forget by March. Every single effing year!
But…. I wont give up on them. Yeah, I’m kinda a sucker for that sort of quotes which says, if you want it, write it somewhere, dream big and go for it. Or something along that line. So, I will make my new year resolution now, here while I’m sitting in you-don’t-wanna-know-where.. tehehehehe
MY 2012 NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS
1. Balance between work and motherhood. I have postponed my getting back to work time till now, when Calista is 25 month. We kinda need double income to make everything runs well in the family. I still believe that a stay at home mom is an ideal condition and BEST solution for a growing kid but let’s face it, not every body is that lucky. At least I had 2 best years of my life watching and teaching and nurturing our daughter.
2. Save money. Yeah… no long explanation needed for this one right? By not working for 2 years i have drained most of our saving so it’s time for me to fill them back. Now where is my “kacamata kuda”
3. Have a true holiday(s). My holidays for the past 2 years were not holidays. They are like moving my entire office (which is my daughter) to another place and worked overtime there. So now that she’s bigger, I really hope next year i get the chance to go to at least Bali/Malang/Jogya and or other countries that is not Singapore! And I do wish that country will have Disneyland in it!!
4. Be a better Muslimah. Alhamdulillah, I’ve started wearing Hijab now. The reason of which I better not share, so that it keeps me away from Riya, insha Allah. By doing that, I make a giant step towards my relationship with Allah. Hence, I will try to learn more about Islam and practice it correctly.
So there, I wont make a long list now, cause this list is hard enough to deal with.
Hello 2012, I dont believe you are the last year for humanity so, here we come to make the best out of you!
